Last updated: March 26, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Drop In Hockey website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

About the Service

Drop In Hockey is a platform for managing sports groups, organizing events, coordinating members, and processing payments. The Service is operated from Sweden and is available at https://dropinhockey.seand through our mobile application.

Mobile Application

The mobile application is available for iOS on the Apple App Store. By downloading and using the mobile app, you also agree to the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Your Account

To use most features of the Service, you need to create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information when registering.
  • Keeping your login credentials secure and not sharing them with others.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

Managed Accounts

Parents or legal guardians may create managed accounts for minors through the Service. By creating a managed account, you confirm that you are the legal guardian of the minor and consent to the processing of their personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for all activity on managed accounts. Managed accounts can be added to groups, respond to event summons, and participate in group activities on behalf of the minor.

Groups and Events

The Service allows users to create and manage sports groups, schedule events, and track attendance. When using these features:

  • Group organizers are responsible for the content and management of their groups, including member invitations, event scheduling, and payment requests.
  • Members are expected to follow the rules set by their group organizers and to respond to event invitations in a timely manner.
  • Drop In Hockey is a platform provider and is not responsible for disputes between group organizers and members.

Payments

Payments through the Service are processed by Stripe. By making or receiving payments through the Service, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

  • Group organizers who collect payments must set up a Stripe Connect account and comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding payment collection.
  • Members are responsible for ensuring that payment information they provide is accurate and that they have authorization to use the payment method.
  • Refund policies are determined by the group organizer. Drop In Hockey does not handle refunds directly but may facilitate the process through Stripe.
  • Drop In Hockey is not responsible for payment disputes between group organizers and members.

Push Notifications

The Service may send push notifications for event summons, chat messages, payment reminders, and other service-related updates. You can manage notification preferences from the notification settings in the mobile app or through your device settings.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
  • Send spam, unsolicited messages, or abuse the email and notification features.
  • Upload or share content that is harmful, offensive, defamatory, or infringes on intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other user accounts, or our systems.

The Service allows users to post content including chat messages, images, documents, group descriptions, and event details ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your User Content but grant Drop In Hockey a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute it as necessary to operate the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. Drop In Hockey does not endorse any User Content.

  • Sexually explicit or pornographic.
  • Harassing, bullying, or intimidating toward any person.
  • Fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading.
  • Infringing on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Illegal under applicable law.

Violation of these guidelines may result in immediate removal of content and suspension or termination of your account.

Reporting and Blocking

If you encounter objectionable content or abusive behavior, you can report it directly through the app using the Report feature available on chat messages and group invitations.

You can block users to prevent them from sending you group invitations. Blocked users can be managed from your account settings. When you block a user, it also notifies our team for review.

We review all reports and take action within 24 hours. Actions may include removing the reported content, warning the user, or suspending or terminating their account.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and content created by Drop In Hockey, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written permission.

Content you create or upload through the Service (such as group descriptions and event details) remains yours. By posting content, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it as necessary to operate the Service.

Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Firebase, Stripe, Postmark, and others. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or 1000 SEK, whichever is greater.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the mobile app. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Upon deletion, your personal data is removed and associated content is anonymized as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we determine it is necessary to protect the Service or other users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes informally before pursuing legal action.
